Never Giving Up Means Never Ever Give Up!

Jim Evans His name is Jim…Jim Evans

We came to know Jim in 2005 when he walked into our doors looking to go back to school to get his high school diploma.  “Absolutely!” we said, that’s definitely something we can help you with…not realizing the uphill battle that lay ahead for both ourselves and for Jim.

Jim started at another school, completed around 17 credits and then left…not sure why but he went back to that school and then left again until he found us at Blueprint.  Unfortunately many of those credits he had were electives and not core classes.

“Okay Jim, if you really want to reach your goal, you will need to buckle down and take those core classes and pass them.”  He was needing 7 more classes to make his goal…so now you must be thinking just 7, not a big deal.  Well it was much more than we all realized…but that didn’t deter Jim.

Slowly but surely, class by class, Jim did the work, took the exams, and even had to repeat a couple of classes because he couldn’t pass it the first time around…but that didn’t deter Jim.

Jim is married and holds down a full-time job, all while working on his high school classes, doing homework, taking exams, coming in for extra help, and retaking exams…but that didn’t deter Jim.

Today, May 27, 2010 at 10:53am, Jim completed his last and final exam for Economics; got a C in the class…and Jim is now a very proud high school graduate from Blueprint Academy, Class of 2010!

His next move?  He asked us “do you think I can apply to college now?”  We said, “Absolutely Jim!  You have officially earned it!”
